About Me
Hi, I’m Patrick Cummings. My wife, Lucille, and I are from South Africa. In 2006, we embarked on a new adventure: migrating to Australia, where we’ve since made our home and become proud citizens.

My love for photography has been shaped by the privilege of working and traveling to fascinating corners of the world—places like the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Jamaica, Myanmar, and Vietnam, to name a few. These diverse landscapes inspired my passion for street photography. More than just capturing moments, I became deeply drawn to documenting people in their daily environments—unposed, raw, and authentic.

Like many, my photography journey began with a simple point-and-shoot approach. But that changed dramatically when I pursued formal training, enrolling in short courses before earning a recognised qualification in Professional Photography.

While living and working in Sri Lanka, I became a member of the Photographic Society of Sri Lanka in Colombo, where I developed a profound love for black-and-white imagery, for its timelessness, depth, and its ability to reveal emotion in its purest form.
Today, I continue to refine my craft as a member of the Macarthur Photographic Society in Sydney and through various online photography communities.

Being part of these networks has opened doors for my work to be featured in respected online photography magazines—an honor that continues to fuel my creative drive.

I’m thrilled to share some of my images that tell the stories I’ve encountered on my creative journey.

Enjoy the journey.
